Ben Moore is a senior business development manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he serves as a project lead with the Global Business Development Sprinters, a team focused on leading market development and expansion efforts for cloud-based services using agile methodologies. Prior to joining the AWS Business Development Sprinters, he was the lead product manager for Amazon Sumerian, introducing AWS as one of the first-to-market cloud providers for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). Sumerian is a cloud-based authoring tool that lets you create and run virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D applications without any specialized programming or 3D graphics expertise. His background in Internet of Things (IoT) startups led him to join Amazon Web Services in 2015, where he led product marketing for AWS IoT and AWS IoT Greengrass. He is a regular speaker at AWS events and on the AWS Twitch Channel. Before joining AWS, he led product marketing for IoT startup FW, which was acquired by Novatel Wireless, now Inseego, in 2015. FW manufactures IoT hardware, provides systems integration for IoT deployments, and offers a suite of managed services to manage deployed solutions. Ben attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, where he studied philosophy. Currently, he lives in Seattle, Washington, spending his spare time in the mountains with his family feeding a serious ski addiction.
