#412 - Virtual Reality Project Management Training: Key Learnings From First-Published Worldwide Training
Description:
The next stage in borderless education in virtual reality has been reached. The technique is stable and payable. In 2018, we started with the newest and most innovative training format to train project management in virtual reality. We have developed a new training format to address the immersive experience in a virtual training room to get more sustainability in learning. In this session, we will share our experiences so far and showcase the communication opportunities of the future with the primal goal of making teamwork and project management more effective and suited for the next generations.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to: (1) describe new technologies to use to improve the worldwide education of project management and other themes;(2) discuss how project management training experience in virtual reality can change the world and that borderless education is the goal.

Managing projects that are driven by regulatory changes can be daunting. The data privacy landscape has seen significant change over the past several years, with clients and employees becoming more aware of, and cautious with, their data use. Firms are being held to a higher standard to protect the data they collect and use. This session will review two approaches to regulatory projects: a high-level methodology and the concept of Privacy by Design (PbD).

#504 - Effective Retention of Skills and Knowledge in Long-Term Projects
Description:
The median job tenure in the US private sector is 3.8 years; there are some extremes like 1.1 years at Google, 1 year at Amazon, or 2.2 years at Visa. Taking the median for the private sector we can calculate that a seven-person team has an 80% chance of someone leaving every year. Changes to the team are not considered a risk but a fact. This also means that attrition should be planned upfront and managed proactively instead of waiting for the risk to occur. This session will provide tools to proactively manage this inevitable risk for your project.
