This experiential workshop will help attendees to understand the process of value stream mapping (VSM) and its applications. The attendees would practice value stream identification for defined problem statements across different industries. The workshop will provide guidelines for using VSM for business process/agile or digital transformation. The workshop will present a framework for identifying gaps in the current state and defining the future state, using business or technology solutions like Automation, artificial intelligence/machine learning [AI-ML], robotic process automation [RPA], etc.). A case study on the application of VSM for insurance processes will also be presented.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:(1) identify value-added and non-value-added activities in business processes and projects using VSM;(2) define business- or technology-based solution alternatives to transform an organization from the current state to a future state.
